Grades 4 to 8 students have been participating in on-line safety lessons in the library. We watched and discussed videos from OPEA http://www.reallifeonline.ca/ . Mrs. Lougheed's students summarized the learning in 5 main safety points. Here are some quotes from their learning:
"If you see someone posting things about someone else, tell someone about it."
"Do not cyber bully!"
"Set your privacy settings to friends only."
"Don't post pictures online that you don't want anyone else to see."
"Never give anyone your login and password."
"Never give out name, phone number, address etc. to anyone online."
"Use cyberedicate."
