New Canadian Author Books Have Arrived

The "Tree Program Books" have arrived at Cameron Street Library. They have been entered into TLC, our computer software and we are collecting names of students who will be involved in reading these wonderful Canadian Authored books! Students must read a minimum of 5 books in their category to qualify for voting. Student votes are collected from across Ontario, tallied, and awards are given to the authors in a celebration in Toronto in April. Blue Spruce books are for JK to grade 2 students, Silver Birch Express for grade 3-4 students, Silver Birch Fiction and Non-Fiction grades 5-6 and Red Maple Fiction and Non-Fiction for grades 7-8. Happy Reading! Our Speak Off is slated for Cameron's Gym the last week in January. Writing and preparations of speeches and presentation of them build skills necessary for life. Best of luck to all our grade 4 to 8 students as they work on their speech.
